Suicide Prevention
Suicide Prevention is needed now more than ever, and together we can save lives. Myths fear, and stigma keep us from talking about suicide and effectively preventing it. Our goal as a program is to reduce stigma around suicide, bolster confidence and competence in mental health professionals interacting with students in suicidal crisis, and generally be a resource and support center.
Our Director of Suicide Prevention certified by the American Association of Suicidology (AAS) as School Suicide Prevention Specialist, and the rest of the suicide prevention team are available to consult with you by email or phone. Please contact us if you have concerns or questions regarding suicide prevention, postvention, risk assessment, treatment, and resources.
Zeg Report
The Zeg Report is a monthly newsletter for School Mental Health Professionals that brings up-to-date information on suicide prevention, events, webinars, and special topics in the field of suicidology.
This webpage is not a 24/7 crisis resource. If you or someone you know is suicidal, please call 988, the national suicide prevention lifeline, or go to your nearest emergency room.
